| Hey!!
****waves at AL, Bar, Scruff****
@ AL : great if you had what you wanted, its not easy to have it. Today it's a stereotyped autumn day : frog, humidity and coolness.
@Megan : did you have answers for your interview about FF?

| Severe Thunderstorm Warning. Felt this morning like the afternoon. Afternoon going to feel like mornings. Cold front. AL -- By the time you read this, it will probably be over, but do you know what time a Friday at 3:30 pm AEST would be for someone in the States? My lovely cyclist Cadel Evans was going to be doing a live chat.... He's been in Sydney the past several days. If ya can believe it, not much more to say than that! Happy Thursday! | |

| My computer got wonky yesterday (really messed up) and I didn't get to do it anyway. But thanks for helping me figure out the times. The thunderstorm ended up going around us. A bright shiny thing has been showing through the clouds. Been so long since it's been here just about forgotten what it was. The doggie has come upstairs and is acting weird. Something must have upset her because she does not often come up stairs. She is afraid of the bottom stair -- it's wood instead of carpeted. My hubby has a weather station in our yard. Its stats say our house has gotten over 13 inches of rain during October. So much for Texas being dry!! Friday again, so football! Only one more game to go! This Saturday is the last marching band competition. I had signed up to chaperone. Found out a few days ago the kids have to be at the school around 6 AM and the volunteers around 8 AM. We won't be getting back home until midnight!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend. | |

| @avabird, hope you compter is ok now!Did you find out why your dog came upstairs or was it just the "step"? Did you have your live chat thingy with Cadel Evans?
@carsy, you had frogs! Humidity & coolness. Hope your having a lovely weekend!
I'm going out tonight for Riverbeats on the water! It should be a great evening. Food & music by the water.
Hope your all having a great weekend & having fun too!

| AL -- Hope you had a great time at the Riverbeats! When I lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, they held a similar event called Riverbend. I missed the live chat because of the thing with my computer. Had to wait for hubby to get home to get it fixed. The problem happened just a bit after my post here! Guess it wasn't meant to be. But I did get to see the short vid that NZ Jackie got Paul to do -- saying hello to "his" squirrels! Turned out, the dog just wanted to go out really badly. Will be at band competition all day today! Is Oct. 31 when other countries have Halloween too or do you guys even do anything for Halloween?? My younger one has a Cleopatra costume. When we went to the Girl Scout festival, there were 4 others with the same costume!! She's starting to get to the age that she is noticing those things! Funny! | |

| @avabird, thats a bit of a bummer there about not getting to do the live chat! Halloween isn't really celebrated here, well not officially anyway. You do see some kids walking around in costume so if they knock on your door you usually try & find them somthing! If you dont have any lollies.
I haven't seen the vid of Jackie & Paul yet must check that out! Glad there was nothing wrong with your dog apart from wanting to go outside to relieve itself.
LAst nights music "sucked so badly they all sounded like they were stoned then there was a poetry reading & I think she was off her head when she wrote it & read it. Apart from that the food & light show & atmosphere was great!
Hope your all having a great evening/morning/arvo! (((squirrelly hugs))) Drops of more wagon wheels.

| Hey. Just hanging out before I go a Halloween Dance at a downtown bar. I am not wearing a costume. I think I am scary enough the way I am. My friend's Lynn and Nancy aren't wearing costumes either. We just want to go hang out and dance. I had a good day. A friend I haven't heard from in ages called and asked me to go shopping with her. It was fun hanging out and chatting with her. I really should do that more often. I was contemplating doing a load of laundry before I go out but I decided that it can wait until tomorrow. I hope you all have a fun Halloween. | |

| HIYA GANG
Guess who. Looking good for Grading for 5th Kyu in December. YAHOO!. Wow has it been 6 months already. A tad nervous though as this time around I have to do some Ji Yu Kumite (free sparring). Not that good at Sparring yet. When we Spar in Class on Saturday if there is not a girl for me to Spar with then I get paired with Sempai Victor (the teacher). Lucky me. Being new at Sparring and the only girl in Class I am at an unfair advantage with the guys as they are higher in Belt Rank, bigger, stronger, have no control yet they do have it but have not mastered it yet), and have a tendency to be a tad too rough. Being paired with Sempai Victor he coaches me what to do and lets me hit him. He does hit back but it's a gentle tap.
I feel about 80% ready right now for Grading. Come December time I should be at a full 100%. Wish me luck.

| *pokes head in* Hello there! Long time no see. How are you all? I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive, still learning for my exams (I failed two and was sick at two others) and yet planning for a big trip end of january. To all the canadian squirrels: Who of you, (living in the Vancouver area) wants to organize a squirrel meeting somewhen between january to mid of may 2010? I'm place bound the first 3 month due to work but will travel in may.Until I leave canada on may 13th...not that long time for trave but I hope I manage some tours at the weekends. Any tips of where I must go, what I should see, what I should do? I plan to come back somewhen in the future to check out the other states so I stick to BC first. I try to come here a bit more often, RL interferes a lot these days. BTW thanks again, Bushy for nudging | |

| (((((((Ekorre)))))))))))) Glad to see you pop in for a visit. So you are stiil coming to Canada. BC is a lovely place. It is too bad it is on the other side of the country from me. I highly recommend checking out the Capilano Suspension Bridge. I saw it back in 2004 and it was AWESOME. Two other cool things to do are to spend a day at Stanley Park and go to the Vancouver Aquarium . This site has some good info on BC. http://www.bcpassport.com/default.aspx I hear that some Squirrels are thinking about attending the Stargate Creation Con in April 2010. http://www.creationent.com/cal/sgvan.htm I think that would be a great place to meet up. I wish I could afford to fly out there. Well that is all I can think of for now. AL Have fun on your museum trip. What kind of Museum is it? | |

| It wasn't much of a dance (poorly organized IMHO) but still nice to get out of the house and chat with friends. That musuem sounds like fun. I saw a really neat Egyptian exhibit a couple of years ago at a local musuem. Everything I saw made me think of Stargate. It is a chilly 43F / 6C. The weather report is calling for our first snow of the season. D'OH!!!! | |

| Hello everyone!! Hey Ekorre! Nice to see you! It's Friday for me. Last football game and marching band thing for this year tonight. This weekend, we will have to get going on our Christmas "gifts"! We have to have them mostly done by Thanksgiving! There are so many things I need to do in the house by the holidays, and I just can't seem to find a block of time to do it!! Hopefully, today I am buying a side table for my dining room. (Depends on if it is still in store!) It matches my table, and I've been waiting for it to go on sale for several months! AL -- It's been quite a warm fall for us. We may get a taste of what it's like to have holidays in warm, summery weather. A lot of the ornaments here have snowy scenes... Do the ones in Oz feature beachy scenes?? I can't believe it is almost time for the holidays!! We are going to Georgia the third week in November (Thanksgiving). I do not know how much access to a computer I will have that week. This whole week has been sunny. Have a great weekend! | |
