It has been a long time you stopped by indeed. But you're right, nothing is like dgeek. But it looks like wasted energy to hope that it'll come back. Thought about asking David on Creation but then I decided to better leave that issue untouched.

How are all the squirrels on twitter?

I don't have a blog or website for my pics. Put the best of the creation pics up here and some of my canada pics on StudiVZ.de which needs you to register to see them. And needs you to speak german... Will put the best of the best up on imageshak the next few days/weeks/month (busy time ahead with some (4) exams) and put the link on here.

I'd like nothing better than to have some time with David to ask him about dGeek. I'd love to know if he really intends to start it up again and what rules he intends to implement if any. I'd also like to know if he shut it down because it was wonky and needed a lot of work or if there were other issues. I hope it wasn't due to the bickering that happened on the thread where he asked for constructive ideas on what to do with dGeek. Some things weren't stated in a very constructive way.

Did you have only a few pics then of the con? *blushes* I take so many at cons, that I have to change batteries....lol. But I seem to take a lot of garbage pics so I have to take a lot to get good ones.

Jack my nephew loves Doctor Who!!!! Yay finally another scifi fan in the family. He's 2.5 years old now. I will introduce him to Sanctuary & Stargate.

My other nephew Jackson is going to be 3 years old in 6 weeks time. The time has just flown by there.

I'm saving up for my Sanctuary/Stargate con in december where I can finally meet some of the other aussie squirrels for the first time ever!!! Mega excited about that!

Sorry, I'm just getting used to the idea of Squirrels being back in here.

Anyways, I've been thinking of maybe getting rid of the personalized touch and picking one of the pre-made forum templates. I'm starting to get irritated with arguing with the color controls about which part I want which color...>.>

I have to say...I would like the part we post in to be white instead of red. When I try to use different pretty colors, not many of them look good with the red.

Have you thought of making it look like dGeek?

What do you think I've been trying to do the last several months? lol Seems like no matter how many edits I do, I can't find that lovely color to white ratio that dGeek had.

When I look through the templates, I'll focus on those that have white post backgrounds...

@Kimbers, happy that your doing good. Are you going to Dragon Con with the other US & Canadian squirrels? I heard David is gonna be there! What a blast that would be!

Yes mega excited about my con in december gonna get to meet Amanda Tapping, Ryan Robbins, Chuck Campbell & Carmen Argenziano. Never met these guys before.
Also the aussie squirrels Sonstar, maybe marce & maybe Wizards too! Really stoked about that!

I met RDA!!!! Back in march he's a sweetie. So nice & friendly. Also met heaps of other staragte cast memberstoo. My pic's are on my facebook account if anyone wants to see who I have met.


@Megan, yes, thanks for all your hard work for this site you do. Maybe another colour besides red if you can get it that is.

Those words you speak of are links. I'm trying to figure out the color for them, like I said. I'm trying to stick with the color scheme, but the links are on various different background colors so it's a bit hard to pick a color that fits them all...

And white, which would IMHO work best on the Background doesn\'t work in the link-box...

hm, that light blue works on the top of the page, not so much on the bottom (the unimportant links)

Yeah, I think that blue is a good choice, too. And I even made different text sizes a little bigger so they would be a bit easier to see, given the color. Small text just doesn't look good in bright or lighter colors...lol

Well Gang am off to Karate Camp this Weekend. Can't wait. We go up North about an hour away from here near Lake Simcoe. My Second year going.

Aweee sweet Harvey sent me an e-mail saying "Have a good time at Camp, be careful, and don't overdo it." Then he said he might come up on Sunday for the last day of Camp. Cool.

He's such a nice guy. I like him. He looks out for me in Class and helps me when I need it. He takes the "guiding of the Lower Ranks" very seriously. Man I love Karate.

Wow Megan! The site is so different...looks very cool. It sounds like it's been very hard for you to tweak this one to different colors. I wonder how David does his? Could it be a template? Yes, I am going to DragonCon. I know a lot of the Squirrels are going to be there. I've met many of them already at other cons. It will be great to meet the new ones!

Well, I have absolutely no idea how to fix that. I could shut it off for a day or so, then turn it back on. You know, kinda reset it. I've been on miniGeek on multiple different browsers, so I don't think that would be the problem...

Anyways, as for the look, thanks. Before, I was tweeking the colors to make it personalized, but now this is just a template from a site called 'hotskins'.

Yeah, the links in the LT box are not there for me. Also, I don't see how you give karma either. Could it be the skin that is limiting these things? Lol...as you can tell, I don't know much about web design. I kinda influenced my son into taking a web design class next year in high school. And, yes I'm am eveeel as I plan on having him teach me what he learns! LOL
