| Rainy and 50s in Texas. Not as exciting as rain on cobblestone streets. And we think it's cold. The storms held off until after ballgame, but it was very windy. Running errands today to get ready for birthday party! AL -- ((HUGS)) Missing "talking" to you. MonkeyO -- Good luck on your moving! *rubs eyes* Oh no, can it be really? Oh my Oh yes oh my eye.. My eyes may be wondering, but I confess -- I believe it is really Jay Perry! (with very few apologies to TS Eliot) Bar -- How are things with Ez? Hello and ((HUGS)) to everyone else too! | |

| It is Thanksgiving Weekend here in Canada. So I thankful for all the squirrels and for Minigeek. Tomorrow is a holiday so I don't have to go to work. YAY!!!!! This afternoon I am off to my friend Nancy's parents house for Thankgiving dinner. Nancy's mom is a great cook. She is always trying to feed me seconds and thirds. On Friday, I watched the Premiere of Sanctuary and the next ep of SGU. Both were so good I watched them again when they were aired again on Saturday evening. In other news I bought a new vacuum on Friday so tomorrow I am going to show those Dust Bunnies just who is the boss of this apartment. | |

| I too am still here although I must confess to just lurking for the past week! It has been a busy week for me cos I have been sewing all kinds of things for displaying at work and we also had a two day special promotion and had to work later both days. By Saturday night I was dead on my feet - which would have been ok if I had Sunday to recove,r but I went to London with 3 friends to the Knitting and Stitching Show. It was very inspirational and I came away with lots of ideas. Now I have to find time to make some of them! I just have another couple of things to make for work and then I can play! I will even get back to writing my story I hope! Anyway, I'll try not to stay away too long again! *Drops off some Wagon Wheels and other wicked treats for passing Squirrels* | |

| Thankfully, this week has not been as busy as last week. No football game this week! The band has a big competition on Saturday, and I am going to chaperone. My daughter is adjusting to the braces and the contacts. She is now old enough to start learning to drive. YIKES! AL -- Cadel Evans is going to be doing an appearance in Sydney on Oct. 29.. A book about him is being published in Australia. It's called Close to Flying. Is anyone else watching the show Flash Forward? I really like it. It's probably my favorite of the new shows. Still hanging in with SGU, though keep being disappointed in the end. Needs more spacey action, IMO. I miss all the squirrely chats too. Seems I'm never on at the same time as anyone else anymore! | |

| Hi AL, Carsy, Ava, Monkey and anyone else that pops in! Hope all is good with you all. It is getting colder here now and I have succumbed to putting my heating on for a few hours tonight. The days are still bright but definitely getting cooler. I have stayed true to my resolve not to watch SGU so far. It has been quite easy cos I am not a die-hard scifi fan. I watched SGA cos I liked the Davids, Paul and Joe, the fact that it was scifi was irrelevant! In fact I missed the first episode of SGU here by watching Joe in Warehouse 13! Apart from that, I am working my way through all 10 seasons of JAG which I brought back on dvd from my brother when I visited him! Not sure what I will watch when I have finished them! Might even have to read a book! Right now though it is time for chocolate cake and a cuppa! Stay cool! | |

| Hello! ALScruffcarsyFannyMeganMonkeyBarMMetc.etc.!! ((Ie All squirrels on miniGeek!)) My older daughter has been sick with the flu. Several of her friends have had it, so I knew it was a matter of time. She has missed Friday and today from school, and didn't march in the competition on Saturday. It may the sickest she has ever been. I just hope the rest of us don't catch it too! It was scary to think she had it with all the news stories saying all sorts of horrible things happening to people. But her doc said those were the exceptions, and most people have only mild cases (mild for the flu, that is!). Watched a wonderful little movie this weekend called My Life in Ruins. Just a feel-good kind of story and funny, nothing too deep. Scruff -- JAG is a great series. Even my dad was totally hooked on it! If you can get it in Britain, I am enjoying a show called FlashForward. Everyone in the world blacks out for like a minute and a half, and most have visions of a future 6 months away. It's mostly an FBI kind of show, they're trying to solve the mystery, but it also has other characters, and shows how they deal with what they saw and how they're reacting. It also has some great actors -- Joe Fiennes, Jack Davenport (who was in Pirates), and Dominic Monaghan (LOTR and early Lost Charlie). It has become fall here. The weather can't decide what it wants to do. So we've had a day in the 80s followed by a day in the 50s, then back to 80, then down below 60.... you get the idea. So lots of people are getting sick. This week seems to be in a pattern of lovely cool mornings and warmer afternoons. | |

| Thanks for the Birthday wishes. I had a good time. My friend Nancy and I went to see the movie " ZOMBIELAND". It was quite the amusing movie. If you liked SHAUN OF THE DEAD, then you should see this one. I recommend it. Then it was home to birthday cake. YUMMY. It has been quite rainy and chilly here. Today it is 45 F/7 C. | |

| @ Ava - I haven't watched FlashForward - yet. I must confess I have been watching Dancing with the Stars which is currently on at the same time here! Much easier on the brain when I am tired! Had a good weekend with my parents, shortening some curtains for them! Mum can't see to sew any more so I get a list of jobs to do when I visit! It is quite autumnal here now and the trees are really colourful. Of course, the slightest breeze and all the leaves blow everywhere and then get soggy in the rain, but that's the time of year! Right......must go cos my dinner is cooked! See ya later! Oh yes......here, have a Wagon Wheel or two, I stocked up yesterday! | |

| Ok, are there any avid fan fiction writers here?
If there is, are any of you willing to be interviewed?
I am doing a research paper in English about fan fiction and at least one interview is required. My teacher suggested that I have one of my fellow fan fiction writers be used for the required interview.
Anyone interested in helping me pass English IV? | |

| Megan -- I know that Merrov, JayPerry, and Mirth do a lot of fan fic. If they can't do it, I'm sure they know the others who do. My back got filleted by my cat yesterday. Been wondering if this is what being flogged feels like. Had trouble finding a position in bed that didn't hurt. Cat got very messy and required a bath. I knew he had his claws in my back pretty deeply. Didn't realize he had dragged his paws across my shoulder blade till damage was done. Scruff -- I like Dancing with the Stars too. Haven't been following it as closely as usually do this season. Not enough time. Do you guys in other countries see the same season we do? I know when shows go the other direction they are usually older by the time we get to see them on American TV. Even on BBC America! AL- Sorry that the cons keep getting cancelled. A big Stargate con would be great! And it's raining..... again. | |

| @ Ava - Ouch! Maybe you should put scratch mittens on your cat! We are getting Dancing With The Stars the same week you do, just on Friday night instead. How quickly tv shows come over here tends to depend on what it is and what tv channel is broadcasting it here. SGU is apparently here quite soon after the US broadcast but, as I am not watching it, I haven't kept track! @ AL - Sorry to hear about yet another con being cancelled. Maybe next year will be more successful! It is raining here every day at the moment, but fortunately not all day. I have actually got a weekend at home this weekend. Downside though is I have to do housework! i need to tidy up so I can mess it up again! *Drops off some more Wagon Wheels and heads for bed* | |
