Nothing too exciting going on here in Canada. Same old, same old. In a few minutes I am off to do some shopping. I need some new flannel Pajamas, jeans and groceries. Then when I get home I have to do two loads of laundry and change the kitty litter. Fun stuff.

Feeling a bit better today - voice has some back, YAY

Nothing much else to report - had an extra hour in bed this morning thanks to going back to GMT from BST, although it is now 5.30pm and pitch black outside **sigh** takes a while to adjust to winter.

Off to stare at the telly for the rest of the evening, as determined to go to work tomorrow - not sure why I feel the urge to go in - can't stand my job, but parents brought me up to be hard working and conscientious- darn them!

Hello Mini Geek World! Remember me?

Things are going great. Still love Karate. Harvey and I are great buddies. He watches over me like a hawk when I spar. Helps me and corrects me. Another Grading is coming up for me in December. Sheesh has it been 6 months all ready. I am still unsure about if I will do it or not. This is a harder one and if I don't Grade I will wait another 6 months. Tough decision. I am about 50-50. Yes to Grade or No. Time to call out the big guns and start going in Friday Night for the Extra Help. So I will be starting to do Karate again 4x's a week.

Still looking for a Job I am applying everywhere and I get no nibbles. Sheesh.

Fall is here in Toronto now and the leaves are changing and getting colder. Brrrr.

Well that's it for me for now. Just letting you all know that THE FRANINATOR is still around.

Megan -- That is an adorable pic! All babies are sooo cute.

AL -- It's not springtime for you yet? I thought you guys had spring when we had fall. I am familiar with Australian rules football (Is that what used to be rugby?) But I don't think it's still quite as rough as American football. Guys still get hurt badly even with all the padding. My hubby got to go to a game yesterday -- Dallas Cowboys vs. Atlanta Falcons. Football nirvana for him.

Bar -- Sorry to hear you been sick. Hope you feel better now. I had missed the taint of evil in the air! Glad you're able to get back on. There were several days a couple of weeks ago that I was having trouble logging in also.

Hey Fran! Nice to hear from you.

We did a bit of shopping this weekend. We had the bright idea that we would make gifts for our family this year, especially since my older one fancies herself to be into sewing. (Thinks she would like to work in fashion). We chose apron and fleece blankets..... Apparently, we aren't the only ones in our area thinking along these lines. Cloth shop was incredibly crowded! Waiting times for cutting were an hour or more! Just total crazy. Then we went to the mall. Guess we hadn't had enough of the crazies. We were really going to a couple of stores at the mall -- Penneys (clothing store) and Barnes & Noble.

It's raining again. I would never have believed it rained this much in North Texas! I thought Texas was dry. We got over 2 inches of rain last night in a couple of hours. And it's chilly by Southern US standards -- in the 50s! (which I think is about 8-10C?)

@Avabird - not usually one to catch colds or flu, guess it was my decade LOL. Still feeling pretty darn rough, but, as with all things, it will pass.

We're having temps in the 50s over in the UK now - which is fairly normal for us. Although thankfully, down on the rainfull at the moment, particularly Southern England.

I love the idea of making things for Christmas presents. In this over commericalised and convenient world it's wonderful idea. Alas, I have no artistic talent whatsoever lol, thankfully my family like 'proper' presents. Makes life easier, but not half as much fun.

Bar -- We're trying to make them be "useful" items. My stepmother already has her gift. Everyone chipped in and bought her a Maltese. I haven't met her yet, but I hear she's quite cute and keeping my parents very busy.

@Ava .......just been over to dGeek and it seems to be there! I usually make most of the Christmas Prezzies I give, partly due to finances and partly cos I can! This year it looks like I have landed myself with making a full length winter coat for my niece-in-law and warm cosy pjs for my niece! I am also making another towel/coat for Pepper for after her swims in the sea! Looks like my days will be full when I get a week off in a couple of week's time! I also want to make some soft toys to sell if I can fit it in but I do have to work and sleep as well so something will have to give!

@ Fran .........good to hear the karate is still going well.


After reading DH's recent tweets, it crossed my mind that he should really be filming the sequel to Sleepless in Seattle ...........Bazless in Bucharest!!!

Cold wet & rainy again today but tomorrow is gonna be a warm day! Yay!

I'm looking forward to christmas this year cause Jack & Jackson are older now. I can't wait to see their little faces on christmas day! I cant belienve its so close where has the year gone! I'm also gonna make some origami animals for the boys.

With the weather we have been getting for the past month it feels like winter time with th occassional warmer day. We have 2 different types of footy rugby & aussie rules! Slightly different! There are many injuries with rugby not so much with aussie rules I dont think.

Found the link in the ABD forum but the domain has expired so you would need to track down Zerocool who posted the link (and designed the game I think?) to see if they had it anywhere else. Looks like the last time it was played on ADB was 6 months ago.

A lovely warm day today! The cold wet rainy days are a thing of the past.

Had today off & I've got tomorrow off as well. Gonna get a hair cut & hopes the hairdresser gives me what I want!

YEah! The ADB game was great I played it many a time. I hope you can get in touch with Zerocool somehow!
