Hey Carsy, I watched those Torchwood eps too. I don't think I was ever so mad at a TV show.

The weather here is strange. I supposed I shouldn't complain, because I really hate the cold, but it is really too warm for the end of November. It just gives me a bad feeling. Like we will get used to it being warm and then WHAM we are going to get hit with a nasty winter weather surprise.


Other then the crazy weather nothing else too exciting is going on.

Had a great time with my family over Thanksgiving. Got to play with the new babies -- my great-nephew and my stepmother's new doggie (white Maltese -- 4 mos. old). And got to be in the mountains... That was refreshing.

I'm glad to hear Bar is enjoying real life. I'm just Meh about mine.

It's finally cooled down here also. Today even feels a bit wintry. West of us is supposed to get snow in the next couple of days. I like it a little "nippy."

Hello DGeek Squirrels. Guess who?

Been extremely busy busy busy. Going for 5 th Kyu now, 2nd Green Belt. And now that I am a Green Belt I must do Volunteering with the Club. I am cool with that. My duty right now is get a list of names of those Classmates coming to the Social.

Ready for some even bigger news. I have a title now. I am now Sempai Fran. All the Junior Belts acknowledge me as Sempai. Some Senior Belts prefer you call them Sempai. As for me call me Fran, or call me Sempai Fran. I am the same as everyone else a Karate Studdent with a passion for it. I won't let it go to my head though.

Got the H1N1 Shot last week (Thursday) and boy did my arm hurt for 5 days. Better today. Was hard doing Karate with a sore arm. Especially Pair Works that involves contact with the upper arm. OUCH. It was hard to decide on whether to get it or not. Heard lots of PROS and CONS about it.

It snowed!!!!

Well, it was only about an inch, but was really pretty for a while. We don't get to see it very often. If anyone hasn't seen them already and wants to, here is a link to my pics:

Just got back from Karate. Stayed after Class and worked with my buddy Harvey. He's so sweet and nice. I really like him.

Lately been staying after Class and Training for my Grading. Sure hope it's enough. I am pretty sure Sensei will take that into account. He's seen me Training hard before and after Class.

T MINUS 8 Days and counting until I Grade.

Breaking it over to Florida in August...Yay! Might not be able to stay for Dragon Con though...staying in the US for a month is just a bit too much to save for...lol

But yay!

Hello everyone!!

Scary -- If you're around, the ice last week in Nova Scotia made the news in Texas. All the cars sliding around the roads made it look like when people drive in it here! Hope you and everyone there are all right.

I won't be around much this week. Real life must take over. Nothing bad or major, just really busy. It's the last two weeks before Christmas holidays for the girls, so lot of activities. And this weekend we will all be acting in the church's Christmas program -- outdoors! Brrrrrrrr!!!!

Tuesday night, my younger one has her very first concert in band. She plays French Horn. She's still in beginner band, but is second chair. So we're very proud of her.

Jackie - If you ever come to Texas, I might be able to help!

T Minus 4 hours and 1/2 Hours and Counting

Grading Time is upon me again. Didn't I Grade recently? Wow 6 months goes by so fast. I am so pumped and psyched for this. I think I am ready. Have been getting some extra one on one help from my buddy Harvey. We help each other, we teach each other. There's something new added to this Grading "Sparring".

Well must get ready for my big day. And after Grading have the Social.

I am still a 6th Kyu but also am on the fence of 5th Kyu. I failed one section of my Grading Sensei is allowing me to re do that part at the end of January. I did not do Kata that well. And I don't seem to be the only one. If I do not pass the Kata portion at that time then I have to repeat the whole Grading again.

So I have my work cut out for me. Have a lot of work to do between now and the end of January.

You will get it! We Squirrels will send positive thoughts...YOU WILL SUCCEED!!

We got snow for Christmas.. in Texas! It's the first time I ever can remember snow on Christmas.

We probably got more presents and ate more food than we should have. We also did what we could to make others have a nice holiday too.

I am going back to school near the end of January. I'm starting to fear I am reverting to my second adolescence! Just taking a class, not getting a new degree. Time for me to figure out what I can do now that the girls are older.

Been missing chatting with everyone.

Hey there Squirrels!!!

Sorry I haven't popped in for ages. I have had a very busy time the last few months with chrissie traveling down the south coast & up to Lake Mac quite a bit lately! Mum had hand surgery on her right hand she had carpel tunnel she has use of it again but not as strong in the use of her hand anymore. My Great Uncle Frank passed away just after chrissie & his funeral was lovely with a true soldiers farewell. He was the second last survivor of Batallion 6 ex POW in Stalag 13 in WW2.
I enjoyed watching Jackson & Jack open up their chrissie pressies & see their little faces light up!
Jack turned 2 on the 30th december. The time has just flown by.

I'm going to a huge Stargate Con in march just check out the guest lists!
