Lizzie, you are an absolute hero! You saved someone from drowning!! I don't think many of us can count ourselves as genuine savers of life. That's pretty cool.

In my attempt to not get too depressed over recent events, I am amusing myself with wonder at the US Federal Government.

We had recently gotten our bonuses, but they paid mine (and a few others') twice. They didn't even believe me when I pointed it out to them. So now they need to get the money back from me.

Usually you get a letter saying they're charging you and when, etc. They never sent it. My paycheck today, however, was suddenly dramatically lower.

So I pull up my paystub online and there are like four different numbers on it. I have no idea what the plan is. So I call the national payroll office and the lady literally starts to giggle. Not to say that she wasn't professional, but she also wondered what the heck CDC was trying to do to me. Thankfully she pulled up the debt repayment plan and was able to explain how they plan to remove the funds from my upcoming paychecks. Thankfully they aren't allowed to pull more than 15% of your paycheck at one time. And thankfully I knew to put that money carefully aside for when they did come to get it!

Still, I never cease to marvel at the ways my fellow bureaucrats can come up with to add silliness to my life.

Tomorrow is another dreaded day of job interviews. When you're the one doing the interviewing of the prospective people? It gets more than a little tedious.

I have 3 SG1 books I brought back from shore leave. Meant to take them to Cirencester, but forgot, so I ended up with a Terry Pratchett book and an Anne McCaffrey. LOL.

Just got home all and have just skimmed here and over at LJ. It looks like there are several groups mounting campaigns. The website is a GREAT idea, but I am just worried that too many different "campaigns" won't make as big of an impact than one big one.

Don't mind me....I'm tired and have tons of work to do.

Can't say I am really surprised cos Joe M has been dropping enough hints on his blog for a while.

I am all for trying to save the series, I really am, cos I love all the guys (not so keen on the gals )........

But, and please don't hit me for saying this.... what if the producers etc don't want to save it cos they would rather move on to the new projects they have obviously already been working on?

I watch SGA not cos I am an avid sci-fi fan, but cos of a cast of characters that between them have an entertaining chemistry and I want to see more of that!

Also I have just been over on JoeM's blog & he spoke about the cancelation of SGA. So go there guys to see what he wrote. He spoke about how we shouldn't be angry with mgm/sci fi for what has happened. Also there is going to be SGA movie. I can't quote exactly what he said sorry!
