| He seriously needs to get a new forum. It is driving me crazy when I click on the link from an email and have to log in each time!!!! ARGH! There are other solutions. I know because I'm in the middle of implementing one for my site, which is based on Joomla! like David's. It's just driving me crazy!!! Okay. I feel better now. | |

| Drives me bonkers at times too. Maybe when DH comes back and recovers from the Holidays he"ll spend some time getting his site back on track. | |

| He just needs to use something that is not Fireboard. Even on the Joomla! forums they basically are all starting to turn on Fireboard. There's Agora, Simple, etc, which all fit into Joomla!. And then there are other forums like Simple Machines Forum (which I have) which can be accessed separately (my preference) or wrapped inside a Joomla! site. It's just really frustrating. And all those emails in my inbox!!!! oi! | |

| Uh... I'm here right now because of that blasted white screen of death. Seriously if David asked me to take over dgeek I would. And that's REALLY saying a lot. I have no clue what I'm doing. But I figure even a forum newb like myself could learn quickly. There are so many squirrels that can't get on for days on end. Hopefully David will see what's going on and fix it. Stupid hackers! I really wish we could fix it ourselves. I wouldn't mind. Ya know? *sigh* | |

| The WSoD is attacking you right now?
That just makes me wish he would find another place to host dGeek off of instead of Joomla... | |

| Arghhhh!!! What's that song? I just hear the words. "Cuz I try! And I try! And I try and I tryyy... I can't get no! Satisfaction! No! no! NO!" Yeah... I'm trying to get on dgeek. It's a SIMPLE thing, right? TO get on a website. I'm on here, after all. I get on Joe's blog WHENEVER I FRICKIN' FEEL LIKE IT. And yet dgeek is out of my grasp at the moment. *wimper* | |

| I agree that Fireboard isn't the best solution, but I say the same for Joomla.
When i started Fannish Inquisition I decided I'd give Joomla a go but I really hated it. It's way to hard to do something like add a simple post and with all the hacking that went on with it around that time (same time David's was hacked) I decided it wasn't a good move.
Anyhow, after deciding I couldn't deal with it anymore I switched to Wordpress and have never looked back. Changing over my Fireboard forum was the hardest part. I had started off by converting it to SMF but I didn't care for that a great deal either and it didn't integrate completely into Wordpress so I manually (and boy it was a task I tell you!) imported all my forum data into an amazing wordpress forum plugin called Simple Press Forums and I love it. I wish David would swap to Wordpress, it's so much more user friendly for both whoever's administrating it and for users as well. If you want to take a look at my forum (not active at the moment but feel free to register if you like) it's at I also run another wordpress site with SPF which is much busier and it's been flawless with up to 71 people online at the same time.
If David wanted help with his site I'd jump at the opportunity to offer a hand, but I'm guessing he has people offering that every day LOL |

| I'm guessing I can't post URLs when I'm not registered but if you click on my profile (Beth) at dgeek you'll be able to find your way there or just copy/paste fannishinquisition.com
