Quest for the missing way Home!

Jay stood looking at the strange mirror in Leesa's lab.

The last time anyone had seen Mokey0lovin had been when she was preening herself in front of it, and Jay missed her friend. She sighed for what felt like the 1000th time!

Jay reached out to the mirror and found it was buzzing and if she listened very carefully, she thought she could hear Monkey's voice.

"Must be dreaming"

The surface started going opaque.

Okay maybe touching it hadn't been such a good idea as Jay's world suddenly went opaque and swirly whirly.

Then everything went balck. And she didn't remember anymore.

i found myself just poking around this day. wondering (again) how i might be able to be with my fiends i have missed so much. i have been here for......*counts lines drawn on the wall*......388 days..."really!" i say to myself, outloud, with no one to hear. *shys at the sound of own voice.

i woke up so long ago all by myself all alone. this place i woke up in, is life sustaining and is just so vast. reminds me of the void in the movie "nothing". no noise, no seanery, no nothing but funny looking green spongy things.......

thease really stange looking spongy green things are great to eat....well at least they dont kill me and i am not hungry after eating them. they grow in large clumps kinda like fungi.

well with nothing to do again. i might as well as take a nap. *lays down on a nice comfy bed of sponge.

*hears a starnge out of place noise (pop)

i props my self up and what do i see...........wow! Jay! *stuttering* Is... is.... is... is... is that you! j... j... j ...aaaa.... jay!

scrambles over to her best pal...shakes her awake! jay!!! really!!! you found me!!!!!!!!!!!! where is everyoine else! oh thanks the hevens i am saved!!!!

"Ger'off Monkey, just 5 more mnutes and i'll be a good squirrel. Not time for wor.......Monkey? MONkey! MONKEY!!!!!!"

She throws herself at her friend for a hug.

"Where have you been?" Jay looks round and then realises she's not in Leesa's lab any more. "Where are we? What is this place? How do we get HOME?"

Jay starts to panic, she not at home, she's not somewhere safe.

"Monkey, i'm scared!"

its ok i have been here for ... like.....EVER! and i am still alive. so far i havnt seen anything creepy but as you can see *dose a vanna like impression of the land scape* there aint much to see. i keep busy by running around and exploring a bit. i keep coming back here becouse i dont want to miss my rescue.

since you here now and i dont really see any hope of resuce. we need to take some more action and find a way out. i have traveled about a day or two in every direction. so you wanna flip a coin or just start heading off? we can make the trail with thease spongy things i was sleeping on.....they are also a sorce of food....well i use them for all kinds or stuff. its the only thing i have been able to find around here. not that they taste very good.......

Yuck! Tastes like old socks. Maybe we should try going through the mirror again. Think that may take us home? Even if it doesn't, then maybe it'll take us somewhere where there's nuts. you know the sort you can eat! Or even back to that pub that used to serve Florida Sunsets. What I wouldn't give for a Florida sunset!

Or do you think this is like that place with the rings.... you know , that C S Lewis book, and if we travel far enough we may find another mirror.

Monkey, i'm scared, I don't know what to do!

well i will tell you going back through, dont work....and it hurts like a son of @#%#. i dont sugest touching it.

i say we need to head out and see whats here. i just never went very far becouse i just knew some one would find me.....i just thought that when they did. they would also have the way out. *sigh

so uh... lets pack us up some lunch and uh.... head out. who knows a few days travel might find us a working mirror????!!! *crosses fingers I hope. I hope. I hope.

Good job I conveniently had my bottomless bag with me
Let's pack enough for three days and hopefully by then we'll find something with better flavour.

**An hour later**

I thought I said three days food, not 300!

Anything else here you want to bring? 'cause if not, we'll get going.
And any particular choice of direction, otherwise we'll head towards the setting sun.......i'm assuming that the sun is behind that cloud over there?

well i have often thought of it as a sun... i mean i use it for time. it actually comes and gose from the same horrizon.......pretty though isnt it. all kinds of purple and oranges mixing together.

so as a second vote equalling two....we head off tward the setting sun

i am hungry....

are you sure you arrived with nothing in that bottemless bag??? dont you normaly have emergency provisions in there? what i would do for a power bar!

Jayne pauses.

"Did you see that? The sun glinted off something! Please tell me you saw it, or am I going mad.......... well madder than normal."

**pulls head out of bag munching on something covered in hariy fuzz, speaking with mouth full of food*

what... repeat that. cant hear you from inside that bag. it echos alot in there. did you say you saw something.......

Over there! Look it just did it again. C'mon Monkey!!!!!!

***Drags Monkey0lovin by the hand towards the shiny object***

Ewwwww! I think I just put my foot in something! What kind of animals do they have here? Elephants?

i havet seen any animals......but then i didnt travel very far. wow that is shinny!

Wow what a rush! I think that shiney is what they use to make the glass on the mirrors. Think if we find any more, we could find one that takes us home?

oops.....if i hdnt been so dumfounded i might have said dont touch that!!!!

wow look at all he pretty colors......i havnt seen so many colors in a very long time. and look over there a small town. looks inviting. lets go see if the people are nice
